Technical Group

Responsible for preparing and maintaining the technical infrastructure of the arena. Volunteers assist in assembling and disassembling equipment, managing lighting, sound systems, and sports gear. They are also in charge of quickly responding to technical malfunctions during the event and supporting logistics in both the main arena and warm-up zones.

Technical Information Centre (TIC)

TIC serves as the technical and organizational communication hub for all event participants. Volunteers provide up-to-date information, help solve technical issues, and offer organizational support to teams and federation representatives. It is the primary contact point for all matters related to infrastructure and the overall logistics of the venue.

Team Attache

Volunteers in this group are assigned to specific national teams. They assist athletes and coaches with navigation around the city, the arena, and hotels, provide language support, and solve ongoing issues. Their role is to create a comfortable environment for guests by offering both logistical and cultural support.

Transport

This group coordinates and organizes transport for athletes, referees, delegates, and VIPs. Volunteers manage logistics from airports and hotels to the venue and back, ensuring punctual and efficient movement of vehicles. They work closely with drivers and direct participants to the right means of transport, often accompanying guests during travel.

Media

Volunteers support journalists, photographers, and TV crews accredited for the event. They manage media zones, press conferences, and relay live updates and results. They also help with arena access logistics, provide scheduling information, and coordinate communication between the press office and the rest of the organization.

Anti-Doping Control

Supports anti-doping agency staff in conducting control procedures. Volunteers accompany selected athletes chosen for testing, ensure their presence, guide them to the control zone, and assist with documentation. They act discreetly and follow protocols, maintaining ethical standards and athlete comfort.

Physiotherapy

Assists physiotherapy teams in supporting athletes before and after competition. Volunteers prepare massage and recovery stations, maintain cleanliness in the recovery zone, distribute towels and beverages, and manage queues. This group suits individuals interested in sports and rehabilitation with strong interpersonal skills.

Competition Office

The operational heart of the event, where all organizational information converges. Volunteers handle athlete registration, distribute bib numbers, announce schedule changes, and process protests and technical requests. It’s ideal for well-organized and detail-oriented individuals.

Hotels

This group ensures smooth accommodation processes for participants. Volunteers assist with check-ins and check-outs, facilitate communication with hotel reception, provide schedule information, and answer questions. They also collaborate with the transport and team attache groups to ensure seamless operations outside the arena.

Airports

Volunteers in this group welcome participants and guests upon arrival. They assist with luggage collection, navigation through information points, and connecting with the appropriate transport. As the first representatives of the organizers, openness, friendliness, and language skills are especially important.

Accreditations

Handles issuing IDs for all groups involved in the event: athletes, coaches, media, VIPs, referees, and volunteers. Volunteers work at accreditation points, verify data, assist in complex cases, and monitor access to designated zones within the venue.

Marketing

Supports the promotion of the event and the activities of partners and sponsors. Volunteers distribute merchandise, help organize fan activations, run contests and animations, and assist with social media engagement. This creative group plays a major role in shaping the event’s atmosphere and public image.
